US Senate committee to vote June 25 on FAA nominee

WASHINGTON, June 18 (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate Commerce Committee will vote June 25 on President Donald Trump's nominee to head the Federal Aviation Administration as the agency deals with a series of safety issues and persistent shortages of air traffic controllers.
Republic Airways CEO Bryan Bedford, who has been harshly critical of the FAA's culture and leadership, vowed to hold Boeing "accountable to deliver a high-quality product safely."
