MOSCOW, June 17 (Reuters) - Russia's defence ministry said on Tuesday that its forces carried out high-precision strikes on military targets in Ukraine's Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia regions overnight.
"The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a group strike with high-precision air, land and sea-based weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, against objects of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine in the Kyiv region and Zaporizhzhia," the ministry said.
The strikes hit their designated targets, the ministry said.
At least 15 people were killed overnight in drone and missile strikes on Kyiv and other cities, Ukrainian authorities said.
