QBE appoints Larsen as Nordics general manager

June 17 - (The Insurer) - QBE has named Henrik Larsen as general manager for the Nordics, subject to regulatory approval, the company said on Tuesday.
Larsen, who previously served as Denmark and Finland CEO at Marsh, will join QBE on June 23, 2025.
As the leader of QBE's Nordics team across Denmark and Sweden, Larsen will be tasked with strengthening lead capabilities for property and casualty, financial lines and specialty, and expanding the product suite to support an increase in market share.
Based in Copenhagen, he will succeed Maths Stanser, who recently became QBE’s head of distribution for European markets.
Larsen will report to Beatriz Valenti, director of insurance for QBE Europe.
After starting his career in banking, Larsen helped launch digital mail platform e-Boks.
He then joined the insurance industry in 2005 as a sales director at Marsh, where he became Denmark CEO in 2011, adding Finland to his responsibilities three years later. After leaving Marsh last October, he established a consulting firm.
