Russia says US has cancelled next round of talks on easing tensions

MOSCOW, June 16 (Reuters) - The next round of Russia-U.S. talks on removing "irritants" in relations between the two countries has been cancelled at the initiative of the American side, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
"We hope that the pause they have taken will not last too long," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement.
