June 13 - (The Insurer) - CFC has hired Markel International's Nick Line as chief underwriting officer, the company announced on Friday.
Line is set totake up the role in 2026.
He joins following 28 years at Markel, where he has held the role of CUO since 2018.
Line recently took over as chair of the Inclusion@Lloyd’s committee. He also sits on the Lloyd's Market Association’s CUO committee.
CFC’s chief performance officer Matt Taylor assumed the CUO position on an interim basis in February 2025 after The Insurer reported that Dan Trueman had exited the company after only a year in the role.
Trueman had joined CFC in January 2024 after six years with Axis Capital, where he had been global head of cyber insurance.
CFC confirmed Truman's exit shortly after and said it planned to “reshape” the position following a strategic review.
