Kremlin says NATO air defence plan is confrontational, will cost European taxpayers

- Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that NATO's plan for a huge boost in its air and missile defence was confrontational and would come at the expense of European taxpayers.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte was due to say in a speech in London on Monday that the alliance needs a 400% increase in air and missile defence.
