Exclusive: Everspan chief production officer O’Connor exits for RT Specialty

June 6 - (The Insurer) - Everspan’s chief production officer Kevin O’Connor is exiting more than four years after joining the fronting carrier at its launch, and is joining RT Specialty where he is expected to work with the wholesale brokerage on embedded programs.

O’Connor is expected to continue in his role with Everspan for another couple of weeks before stepping aside and is expected to start in his role with Ryan Specialty shortly thereafter.

Before joining Everspan in February 2021, O’Connor spent nearly three years with Matt Grossberg-led MGA Integrated Specialty Coverages as executive vice president.

O’Connor was previously a managing director with MGA platform McGowan Companies working on hospitality business that included a program focused on restaurants, bars, and taverns and another program focused on the nightlife sector.

Before that he spent a decade at program administrator RCA Insurance Group as an executive vice president and partner, where he was responsible for market relations, product development, reinsurance placement.

At last week’s 2025 Program Manager Awards O’Connor was recognized with the inaugural Program Manager Champion Award.

Spokespersons for Everspan and RT Specialty did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
