June 6 - (The Insurer) - Medical malpractice insurance-focused NCMIC has named David Siebert as its new CEO, with the executive immediately stepping up into the role vacated by the retiring Mike McCoy.
Siebert joined chiropractors and naturopathic physicians malpractice specialist NCMIC in 1995 as a claims representative, and since then has progressed up through the Clive, Iowa-based company’s ranks.
Prior to assuming the CEO role, Siebert served as NCMIC’s president.
In his new role, AM Best A-rated NCMIC said Siebert will oversee all of its operations and strategic initiatives and ensure the company continues to support chiropractic and naturopathic doctors along with other healthcare professionals with specialized insurance and financial products.
NCMIC announced in February that McCoy planned to retire from the company at the end of 2025, but that has been brought forward with Siebert’s appointment.
McCoy joined NCMIC as its CEO in 2017. During his tenure, NCMIC said the company increased its market share to 60% and achieved record earnings.
