Rubio discussed Ukraine-Russia talks in call with Turkish foreign minister, US State Department says

June 3 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed supporting direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to stop the war in Ukraine in a call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Tuesday, the U.S. State Department said.
Rubio and Fidan also discussed the steps the United States has taken to lift sanctions on Syria, Statement Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said in a statement.
