REFILE-Exclusive: Amwins hires 20-plus year CRC veteran and former NY president Field

June 2 - (The Insurer) – Amwins has recruited CRC Group’s former president of its New York office Harold Field, whose background is in professional liability, wholesale sources told E&S Insurer.
Field resigned from CRC Group last week, the sources said, after more than 20 years with the company and is due to start at a new role at Amwins on June 2. He previously worked at wholesale intermediary Westrope, which was acquired by RT Specialty in 2013.
Amwins declined to comment. A spokesperson for CRC Group did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Field is the second major hire by Amwins in the last week. E&S Insurer reported on May 28 that Chris Muller has left his role with Core Specialty and is expected to take up a senior post within Amwins’ wholesale broking arm.
Field also spent five years as a management liability underwriter at Zurich and a little over a year in a similar role at AIG,
