KYIV, May 30 (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate is set to move ahead next week with a bill on imposing sanctions on Russia and countries buying Russian oil and other goods, Senator Lindsey Graham said on Friday after talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
Graham, a Republican, who was accompanied on his visit to Kyiv by Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal, accused Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin of trying to drag out the peace process.
He said he expected a second round of direct talks between Russia and Ukraine, proposed by Russia to take place on Monday in Turkey, would be little more than a "Russian charade."
Ukraine has yet to indicate whether it will take part, saying it first wants to see a Russian memorandum setting out Moscow's proposals for a settlement.
