White House to send Congress small package of DOGE spending cuts, Politico reports
WASHINGTON, May 28 (Reuters) - The White House intends to send Congress a small spending package next week intended to formalize cuts made by billionaire Elon Musk's team targeting federal government spending, Politico reported on Wednesday, citing several unidentified Republican officials.
Two Republicans told the news outlet that the “rescissions” bill will target NPR and PBS, as well as foreign aid agencies already hollowed out by President Donald Trump's administration through the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency.
