Russia says Finnish naval drills are an instrument of NATO escalation

MOSCOW, May 27 (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Tuesday that Finnish naval exercises were turning into an instrument of NATO escalation near the Russian border.
The exercise will take place against the backdrop of Finland's accusations against Moscow of Russian military aircraft violating Finnish airspace.
