UN chief Guterres says flood of aid needed for Gaza

WASHINGTON, May 23 (Reuters) - United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday said the aid authorized by Israel to enter Gaza "amounts to a teaspoon of aid when a flood of assistance is required."
"Without rapid, reliable, safe and sustained aid access, more people will die – and the long-term consequences on the entire population will be profound," Guterres told reporters.
