May 21 (Reuters) - OpenAI is set to acquire former Apple AAPL.O iPhone design chief Jony Ive's hardware startup io Products, the ChatGPT maker said on Wednesday.
The deal was pegged at $6.5 billion, according to reports by the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal.
