Zurich North America names Cushing head of construction

May 20 - (The Insurer) - Zurich North America has appointed Tobias Cushing as head of construction, effective immediately, following a brief tenure as deputy chief underwriting officer since March.

Cushing returns to the construction team after serving only two months as deputy CUO.

Before joining Zurich in 2022, he held senior roles at The Hartford, including head of construction, and previously practiced insurance coverage law at Saxe Doernberger & Vita P.C.

In his new role, Cushing will manage Zurich’s construction portfolio and execute growth plans, reporting to Kelly Kinzer, head of specialties.
