Exclusive: Juniper Re bolsters London office with Green hire

May 20 - (The Insurer) - Juniper Re, the reinsurance broking arm of the Baldwin Group, has hired Andrew Green as part of the build-out of its newly launched London office.

Juniper Re confirmed to The Insurer that Green is joining as senior broker, reporting to Nick Hawke.

Specialising in both property and energy, he will work with Hawke and the treaty team on property placements seeking London capacity, and with Rebecca Lucking and Hafeez Akbar on wholesale business.

Green joins Juniper Re from Price Forbes Re (formerly Inver Re), having resigned from his role as head of fac reinsurance and head of energy in November 2024.

Prior to that, he was head of renewable energy at Miller, and spent almost five years at Aon in the power and renewables team.

In January, Juniper Re confirmed the appointment of Hawke as head of its new London office.

As first reported by this publication, former Guy Carpenter and Willis Re executive Hawke has been tasked with leading Juniper Re's strategic expansion in the “critical global hub” of London.

Since its launch in October 2023, Juniper Re has started trading in the U.S. and Bermuda. It has also launched a Bermuda-based parametric offering led by former CelsiusPro executive Nick Pewter.
