Rubio meets European national security advisors in Istanbul

ISTANBUL, May 16 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met the national security advisors of the United Kingdom, France and Germany on Friday to discuss Ukraine and Iran, a U.S. official and a Reuters witness said.
Russian and Ukrainian negotiators were also in Istanbul for what was billed as their first direct peace talks in more than three years, under pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump to end Europe's deadliest conflict since World War Two.
