Head of Russian delegation in Istanbul has arrived for talks with U.S., Reuters witness says

ISTANBUL, May 16 (Reuters) - Vladimir Medinsky, the head of Russia's delegation for peace talks with Ukraine, has arrived for a meeting with a U.S. government official at a hotel in Istanbul, according to a Reuters witness.
Russia and Ukraine are due to start their first direct talks in three years later on Friday.
