BERLIN, May 15 (Reuters) - German Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil said on Thursday that the European Union must unite in the face of U.S. tariffs, and that it is prepared to act if negotiations with Washington yield no result.
"We must respond to the U.S. tariffs with unity and determination," Klingbeil told the German parliament.
"We expect that the negotiations ... will lead to a good result, but I would also like to make it very clear that we are prepared to act if this does not succeed," he said.
