Turkish, Russian top diplomats discuss Ukraine-Russia peace efforts, Turkish source says

ANKARA, May 12 (Reuters) - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov discussed efforts to achieve peace between Russia and Ukraine in a phone call on Monday, a Turkish diplomatic source said.
The source gave no other details, but Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy proposed meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkey on Thursday to discuss prospects for a ceasefire.
