Rubio, UK's Lammy discuss India-Pakistan situation, call to maintain ceasefire

May 11 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy late on Sunday and discussed the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan.

Lammy and Rubio both called for the two countries to maintain the ceasefire and to continue to communicate.

Rubio said the U.S. supported direct dialogue between India and Pakistan and encouraged continued efforts to improve communications.
