US ambassador in Panama says China "not a good ally" for the country

PANAMA CITY, May 8 (Reuters) - The United States' new ambassador to Panama Kevin Cabrera said on Thursday that China was not a good ally for Panama or the region.
Speaking at a press conference to mark a security memorandum of understanding between Panama and the U.S., Cabrera said the two countries would collaborate on issues of drug trafficking and to boost security at the Panama Canal.
