Arch combines London market and UK regional PI teams

May 8 - (The Insurer) - Arch Insurance International has combined its London market SME and UK regional operations for professional indemnity (PI) into a unified team led by Sophie Mansouri.

In the newly created role of UK PI underwriting manager, Mansouri is responsible for overseeing the underwriting team’s UK PI portfolio, spanning coverage for both traditional and non-traditional professions including technical and scientific services.

Based in London, she reports to David Longley, head of PI at Arch Insurance International.

Mansouri joined Arch in 2023 from Hiscox, where she served as UK large renewals team manager.

Arch said that combining its regional and London market specialist expertise will enable the unified UK PI team to offer a broader range of insurance solutions and underwriting expertise for more complex risks.

The new structure also ensures a cohesive underwriting approach across the UK.

The UK PI team forms part of Arch’s wider PI division comprising the London market large account PI team, which is led by Austen Barnes as underwriting manager, and the newly created PI delegated authority segment, led by Paul Sharpe.
