ZURICH, May 8 (Reuters) - Recruting company Adecco ADEN.S is finding employers cautious about hiring decisions, particularly on permanent staff, as they assess how global tariffs affect their businesses, Chief Executive Denis Machuel said on Thursday.
"We see some clients being in more of a wait and see mode because of the uncertainty, and you know uncertainty is the word that everybody uses at the moment," Machuel told Reuters after the staffing company reported its first quarter earnings.
"The uncertainty is across the board, for all industries, although ones producing goods for export or import, they're the ones most exposed," he added.
