Russia's Putin thanks Xi for joining celebrations of 'sacred victory' over Nazis

MOSCOW, May 8 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday for coming to Moscow to take part in ceremonies to mark the 80th anniversary of Russia's "sacred" victory over the Nazis in World War Two.
Putin greeted Xi in the Kremlin, calling him "dear friend".
