PARIS, May 7 (Reuters) - France and Germany share the view that they must coordinate economic reform, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday.
Macron was speaking alongside new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the Elysee palace in Paris.
Merz is taking office as Europe scrambles to agree security guarantees for Ukraine as part of any ceasefire deal with Russia and to negotiate a trade accord with the United States after President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariffs.
