BHSI enters UK programs market with Munden hire

May 6 - (The Insurer) - Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has hired Rob Munden to lead its entry into the UK programs market.
Munden has been appointed head of Programs, UK, and will be responsible for building and leading BHSI's program business in the UK as well as supporting the company's development of its program capabilities across Europe.
Munden has 30 years of industry experience, and was most recently CEO of specialist MGA Euna. From 2017 to 2021 he worked for Gresham Underwriting, following an 11-year stint with Travelers during which he held a series of roles.
He will be based in London for the new role.
Mark Walker, Head of National Business, UK said in a statement that the appointment underlines BHSI's long-term strategy to expand their business beyond the large customers to small and mid-sized businesses in the region.
