Axis expands leadership roles in its E&S casualty practice

April 30 - (The Insurer) - Axis has expanded a series of leadership positions, including appointing Mike Flaherty as chief underwriting officer for primary and excess casualty, expanding his role as head of U.S. excess casualty.
Michael Wright will expand his role as Northeastern regional leader to include practice leader, complex specialty, and Anthony Schillizzi will serve as senior vice president and practice leader, construction projects and wrap-ups.
Additionally, Mike Collier has been promoted to senior vice president and western regional leader, and Michael Weisenburger will continue to serve the unit as senior vice president.
Axis said the changes "reinforce our commitment to underwriting excellence and elevating specialty solutions for the E&S casualty market," in a LinkedIn post.
