China strips senior military official Miao Hua of NPC membership

BEIJING, April 30 (Reuters) - China has stripped Miao Hua, a senior military official, of his status as a member of the National People's Congress, or parliament, the official Xinhua news agency reported on Wednesday.
Miao, who served on the ruling central Military Commission, China's highest-level military command body, was previously suspended and investigated for "serious violations of discipline".
