LONDON, April 26 (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy agreed to work intensively to maintain the positive momentum in peace talks to end the war with Russia, Starmer's office said on Saturday.
"They discussed positive progress made in recent days to secure a just and lasting peace in Ukraine," a Downing Street spokesperson said in a statement after Starmer and Zelenskiy met in Rome, where world leaders gathered on Saturday for Pope Francis' funeral at the Vatican.
"They agreed to maintain momentum and continue working intensively with international partners to drive forward the next stages of planning."
