Bessent encouraged by S. Korea talks focused on encouraging trade, says Treasury

April 25 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was encouraged by Thursday's discussions with South Korean officials that focussed on "an expanded equilibrium which encourages rather than restricts trade," the Treasury Department said on Friday.
Bessent and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer met with Finance Minister Choi Sang-mok and Industry Minister Ahn Duk-geun.
