UK and EU to finalise plans for new defence pact, FT reports

April 24 (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will finalize plans for a new defence pact, the Financial Times reported on Thursday, citing multiple officials briefed on the discussions.
They are expected to announce the plan and a rollover of current fishing arrangements at a summit on May 19, the FT said.
