April 22 - (The Insurer) - Distinguished Programs has launched a business owner’s policy (BOP) program for restaurants, with the new offering backed by capacity from an unnamed A-plus XV rated admitted carrier.
The new offering has been developed specifically for casual dining restaurants both with and without table service.
Through the program, restaurants can secure protection including business income loss resulting from off-premises utility service interruptions, food contamination, spoilage, employee dishonesty and identity fraud expense.
Restaurants can also get liquor liability coverage via the BOP offering, based on risk eligibility.
Interested clients can also get optional enhancements including data breach protection and increased liability limits.
The new restaurant BOP program is available across the U.S., bar Alaska, Florida, Hawaii and New York, and registered brokers can submit applications via Distinguished’s Broker Connect portal.
As New York-based Distinguished noted, the new BOP program adds to its existing suite of restaurant-focused offerings which already include package, umbrella and cyber protection.
“With the addition of BOP, we’re empowering brokers with a more complete solution for their restaurant clients,” said Heidi Strommen, president of Distinguished’s primary hospitality programs.
“This product not only complements our existing product offerings but also emphasizes our focus on ease of doing business and delivering meaningful value to brokers and their clients,” Strommen added.
