Rainbow adds Rhino’s Saternus as EVP, risk

April 22 - (The Insurer) - San Francisco-based specialty MGU Rainbow has appointed former Rhino executive Brett Saternus as executive vice president of risk, based in Chicago.
Saternus joins Rainbow after four years as chief risk officer at Rhino. Before that, he served as deputy chief underwriting officer at Canopius Group, where he spent seven years.
Earlier in his career, he held positions at CNA Insurance and EY.
In a January interview with The Insurer, Rainbow CEO and co-founder Bobby Touran said the company plans to use proceeds from its recent $8 million Series A funding round to invest in software development, talent acquisition and product expansion, including its newly launched program for the beauty and wellness industry.
