Swiss Re names Helvetia's Kaufmann as group CRO

April 22 - (The Insurer) - Swiss Re has appointed Bernhard Kaufmann as group chief risk officer, effective from October 1, 2025.
He succeeds Patrick Raaflaub, who has held the role for more than 10 years.
Kaufmann will join Swiss Re on October 1 from Helvetia, where he has served as group chief risk officer since November last year.
Prior to that, he was chief risk officer at NN Group. He has also held various senior leadership roles at Munich Re Group, latterly as group chief risk officer.
