Polo Managing Agency adds Lloyd's Reid to manage new business

April 22 - (The Insurer) - Polo Managing Agency has appointed Gordon Reid, formerly head of account management at Lloyd's, as operational and new business manager, the company said on Tuesday.
In his new role, Reid will act as a central point of communication between Polo and Lloyd's.
He previously spent 10 years at Lloyd's, latterly as head of account management. In this role, he led a team of account managers responsible for the strategic oversight of Lloyd's managing agents.
Other previous roles include risk manager at Beazley.
Polo Managing Agency currently has two syndicates under management that launched on January 1: Oak Re Syndicate 2843 and Awbury Syndicate 2025.
Part of Marco Capital Group, PoloWorks is an insurance services business consisting of Polo Managing Agency, outsourced services provider Polo Commercial Insurance Services, Guernsey-based independent insurance manager Polo Insurance Managers, and PoloPartners, a joint venture between PoloWorks and PwC UK.
