- (The Insurer) - Nationwide has promoted its senior assistant vice president of excess casualty, Mary Horsch, to lead its excess casualty underwriting and production practice, replacing Glen Curley, who announced his retirement earlier in 2025.

Horsch has over 23 years of experience in the industry and joined Nationwide in 2024. Before that, she held roles at Liberty Mutual's Ironshore, Crum & Foster and CoverX.

“During her tenure, Mary has leveraged her extensive experience in the excess casualty market and her deep understanding of Nationwide’s risk philosophy to build strong relationships with our key trading partners,” said Tom Iorio, Nationwide’s executive vice president of management liability and specialty, who Horsch will report to.
