April 21 - (The Insurer) - Bermuda-based MGA Banyan Risk has appointed Jamie Powell from Aon to the newly created role of chief commercial officer, overseeing the firm’s global commercial strategy.
Powell joins after more than a decade at Aon Bermuda, where he most recently served as a managing director.
Before that, he spent four years as chief broking officer for the financial services group at Aon UK and Aon Bermuda. Earlier in his career, he also held roles at First City Insurance and Marsh.
Based in Bermuda, Powell will report to co-CEO Peter Horrobin and will focus on strengthening trading relationships with clients and brokerage partners.
