Aegis London doubles digital terrorism product capacity to $500 million

April 16 - (The Insurer) - Aegis London has doubled the capacity for its digital terrorism product Shield to $500 million, the company said on Wednesday.

The product is backed by an Aegis London-led consortium and provides terrorism coverage to U.S. businesses through surplus lines brokers.

The Lloyd's insurer said the increased line size means the product can cater to the requirements of national enterprises in addition to the product's original SME clients.

Aegis London has raised its active assailant sub-limit to $1 million due to growing demand for protection in the U.S. It also introduced standardised sub-limits of $5 million for denial of access and loss of attraction.
