China says 'wanton' use of force will not make America great again

BEIJING, April 16 (Reuters) - The Chinese defence ministry said on Wednesday that "wanton" use of force will not make America great again, following U.S. accusations of Chinese aggression and reports of higher U.S. defence spending in 2026.
"The sky-high defence budget exposed once again the bellicose nature of the U.S. side and its belief in 'might makes right'," said Zhang Xiaogang, a Chinese defence ministry spokesperson.
