Amwins adds Plover Parametrics' Beeg as alternative risk vice president

April 14 - (The Insurer) - Parametric insurance specialist Brenden Beeg has joined Amwins as vice president for alternative risk, he said in a LinkedIn post on Friday.
Denver-based Beeg joins Amwins from startup broker Plover Parametrics, where he served as senior vice president of broking for one year.
On LinkedIn, Beeg said he would work alongside alternative risk executive vice president Alex Kaplan to expand the reach of parametric solutions.
His previous roles include business development manager at MGA Descartes Underwriting, account specialist at Aon in Honolulu, and a role in business development and parametric product development at Tokio Marine subsidiary First Insurance Company of Hawaii.
