- Switzerland and the other members of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, have concluded a free trade agreement with Malaysia, the Swiss government said on Friday.

"This agreement will strengthen our trade relations, create an improved market for our businesses and strong guarantees for environmental protection and workers' rights," Swiss Economy Minister Guy Parmelin said in a statement.

Earlier this week, EFTA signed a modernised free trade agreement with Ukraine. The EFTA members also sealed a free trade accord with Thailand in January.
