Novatae buys Atlanta-based liability wholesale broker Ajax

April 10 - (The Insurer) – Wholesale platform Novatae Risk Group has acquired the assets of Atlanta-based specialty wholesaler Ajax Specialty Insurance, effective March 1, 2025.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2012 by owner Andy Bierbaum, Ajax specializes in management and professional liability lines, including D&O, E&O and technology/cyber liability coverage.
Novatae was advised by MarshBerry, with legal counsel provided by Giordano Halleran Ciesla. Ajax was represented by Frost Brown Todd.
"The Ajax team brings deep expertise in management and professional liability to Novatae. Their extensive D&O, E&O and cyber liability expertise will bolster our product offering,” said Richard Kerr, CEO of Novatae.
