Willis appoints Vale's Spinelli to lead North America transactional insurance and claims practice

April 10 - (The Insurer) - Willis has appointed Dom Spinelli, former head of contingent & litigation risk at Vale Insurance Partners, as head of transactional insurance claims for North America.

In this role, he will lead the claims function within the broker’s alternative asset insurance solutions industry vertical division, overseeing the entire lifecycle of transactional insurance claims, including representations and warranties, tax and contingent matters.

Spinelli has over 15 years of experience in the industry. Before Vale, he led the contingent legal risk insurance team at Liberty Global Transaction Solutions, worked as a representations and warranties insurance underwriter and was a litigator.

Based in Boston, Spinelli will report to Simone Bonnet, head of transactional insurance solutions, North America at Willis.

“Dom’s extensive experience—spanning litigation, underwriting, and claims—gives him a unique ability to guide clients through the most challenging aspects of transactional insurance,” Bonnet said.

Earlier in April, Willis appointed Jody Yee head of alternative risk transfer solutions in the Americas.
