April 10 - (The Insurer) - Gallagher has appointed Harshiv Thakera as head of disputes risk for the Middle East and North Africa, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
In his newly created role, Thakera will be responsible for growing Gallagher’s dispute resolution practice and client base in the region, helping Gallagher's clients navigate the financial risks associated with legal disputes.
He reports to Daniel Miller, executive director, financial lines and M&A for the MENA region, and will work closely with his UK counterpart Colin Everson, head of litigation and arbitration, who joined Gallagher in September last year.
Thakera joins from Asertis, the UK litigation financing firm, where he was chief investment officer and served on the company’s board of directors.
Earlier in his career, Thakera worked at Global Growth Capital and Augusta Ventures in a variety of litigation financing roles.
