
TOKYO, April 10 (Reuters) - Japan's government plans to send Economy Minister Ryosei Akazawa, the country's top tariff negotiator, to the United States within this month for trade talks, the Yomiuri newspaper reported on Thursday.
Akazawa, appointed by Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba earlier this week to lead the tariff talks with Washington, plans to meet top Trump administration officials including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, Yomiuri said.
