Britain will continue to negotiate trade deal with US amid 90-day tariff pause

LONDON, April 9 (Reuters) - Britain will "coolly and calmly" continue to negotiate with the United States on a trade deal after President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday a 90-day pause on tariffs, a Downing Street spokesperson said.

"A trade war is in nobody's interest. We don’t want any tariffs at all, so for jobs and livelihoods across the UK we will coolly and calmly continue to negotiate in Britain’s interests," the spokesperson said.
