SRG names Hiscox’s Holmes to lead UK niches and schemes

April 4 - (The Insurer) - Specialist Risk Group has appointed Nicola Holmes as director of niches and schemes, including its private clients division, for its UK retail arm Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions.

Holmes joins the expansive intermediary following an 18-year career at Hiscox. Most recently, she served as head of broker in Hiscox’s art and private clients division, a role she assumed in May 2023.

Prior to this, she was Colchester branch manager from January 2021. Holmes began her career at Hiscox in February 2007 as a scheme analyst and went on to held several key roles, including schemes manager, underwriting centre manager and regional manager, Manchester.

SRG said Holmes’ appointment reinforces the group’s commitment to investing in top industry talent and expanding its specialist solutions for clients across the UK and internationally.

The broker continued the build-out of its schemes offering last month with the acquisition of specialist broker Brentacre Insurance.

SRG entered into the mainland European insurance market earlier this year through the acquisition of Ecclesia Group's assets in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The deal will add seven businesses and 700 colleagues across the two countries, with Ecclesia Group joining Warburg Pincus and Temasek as shareholders of SRG.
