BRUSSELS, April 4 (Reuters) - European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Friday it had been important that her U.S. counterpart Marco Rubio reaffirmed Washington's commitment to NATO, adding European countries nevertheless needed to be stronger.
Ahead of a meeting of NATO's foreign affairs ministers in Brussels, she said Rubio provided assurances that the U.S. will not make concessions going against the interests and red lines of Ukraine and Europe.
